Steps to Compliance
Know Your Business
Assess Your Risks
Manage Your Risks
In order to identify where your business faces competition law risks, you must understand your own business.
What business practices are common?
What written agreements does your business have?
Which members of staff interact with your competitors and what do they discuss?
These are the sorts of inquiries you need to make.
Once you have identified your agreements and business practices, you will need to review them to ensure that they are not anti-competitive.
Your staff, from board membes to salespersons, need to understand how competition law applies to your business. Face to face, interactive training is the best way to achieve this goal.
Other tools such as a compliance manual and Do and Don'ts checklists are also helpful.
CLEC has the experience and exertise to help you with all of these tasks. Please contact one of our members for further information.
